As you may have heard, my new book on The Parables of Jesus goes on sale in a couple of months. In this book, I offer a verse-by-verse commentary on all your favorite parables. As far as I know, it is the only grace-based study Bible covering all of Christ’s parables.
You may be wondering when all this new material will be uploaded to the Grace Commentary.
Usually, we release a new book first and then add the material to The Grace Commentary later. But this time, we hope to release both versions together.
Camilla is presently preparing the new material for upload. It’s a big job (130,000 words!), but if all goes to plan, she will be done around the same time the new book comes out. Which means those who can’t afford the book will be able read it for free online.
How cool is that?
It took me more than 10 years to write this book. If I were relying on royalties to make a living, there’s no way we’d make it available for free. But we can put everything online thanks to the generosity of our supporters. Which some of you are. So thank you.
As a token of my gratitude for your support, we’re going to send supporters advance reader copies of the book a whole month before it comes out. I’ll also personally acknowledge supporters in the new book. I’m excited to do this, and I know many readers love being associated with my writing in this way.
