With a background as a pastor, professor, and Bible smuggler, Paul combines theological depth with pastoral insight. His thoughtful yet accessible style has led some to describe him as “C.S. Lewis with a Kiwi accent.”
When he is not working on the Grace Commentary, he is taking the best bits and polishing them for A Bíblia da Graça — a study Bible designed for the everyday reader.
Paul has lived in Australia, Hong Kong, and the United States. He currently resides in New Zealand with his wife Camilla and their four children.
