Exactly one year ago I started writing Ephesians for publication. I thought you might like a picture of what’s happened since:

As you can see, I work on multiple New Testament books at once. This year I have been working on five books: Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, and Philemon.
Each book goes through several stages of rewriting. The finished version is published as a printed book (The Grace Bible series) AND is uploaded onto the Grace Commentary.
This means the content on the Grace Commentary is highly variable. Some NT books (e.g., Acts) are rough and incomplete, while others (e.g., James) are polished and finished.
If the Grace Commentary was a landscape, some parts would look like landfill (lots of rough notes jumbled atop each other), while the finished parts would look more like the Swiss Alps in spring. Our long-term aim is to get the whole thing up to “Swiss Alp” quality. Here’s a picture to help you wait:

In my last update I mentioned that I was close to finishing Colossians and Philemon. I was, but then I decided to do Philippians. Since I had done three of Paul’s four prison letters, I thought I should do them all. It makes sense.
The first prison letter – Ephesians – has now been fully uploaded to the Grace Commentary. I expect the other three – Philippians, Colossians and Philemon – will be finished and uploaded in a month or so.
I will send you a note when that has happened.
Until then,
Paul
