Revelation 13:8
All who dwell on the earth will worship him, everyone whose name has not been written from the foundation of the world in the book of life of the Lamb who has been slain.
(a) All … will worship, even those whose names are not in the book. One day every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus is Lord (see entry for Php. 2:10–11).
(b) Foundation of the world. Nothing surprises God. From the very beginning God knew who would come to him to receive the gift of life.
(c) The Book of Life is the heavenly register of those who inherit eternal life. It is a register of the citizens of the kingdom of God. See entry for Rev. 3:5.
(d) The Lamb who has been slain is Jesus; see entry for Rev. 5:6.
