João 8:6

Acusá-lo. As acusações contra você normalmente virão de três fontes: (1) o Acusador, também conhecido como Satanás (veja entrada for Rev. 12:10), (2) law-lovers who are opposed to grace (see entrada for Matt. 12:10), and (3) a conscience that is mindful of the law (Rom. 2:15). What these three things have in common is an affinity for using the law as a weapon of condemnation.
João 8:9
Ao ouvirem isso, começaram a sair um por um, começando pelos mais velhos, e Ele ficou sozinho, e a mulher, onde ela estava, no centro do pátio.

Quando Jesus defendeu a mulher apanhada em adultério dos homens que procuravam apedrejá-la, apelou à consciência deles. Se estes fossem homens comuns, Jesus poderia ter dito: “Tem misericórdia desta filha de Abraão”. Mas estes eram homens religiosos que eram intolerantes com os pecados dos outros. Aos seus olhos amantes da lei, esta mulher tinha que ser punida. Jesus não discutiu com eles; ele simplesmente cutucou suas consciências. “Você é muito diferente deste pecador?” E as suas consciências altamente desenvolvidas fizeram o resto. João 8:11

(uma) Eu não te condeno. Jesus nunca nos condena.
There are three sources of accusation (the devil, law-lovers, a guilty conscience), but Jesus is not one of them. Jesus did not come to condemn the world but to save it (John 12:47). We were already condemned on account of Adam’s transgression (Rom. 5:18). As sinners, we do not need more condemnation; we need forgiveness. On numerous occasions Jesus proved that he was a herald of a new covenant by proclaiming and demonstration unconditional forgiveness (Matt. 9:2, 18:22, 27, Luke 7:42, 47, 11:4, 23:34, John 8:11). Just as the love of God is unconditional, so is his forgiveness.
(b) Não peque mais. Jesus told the woman to sin no more because sinning is destructive. The wages of sin is death (John 6:23). Her sin nearly got her killed, and only the Lord’s intervention saved her. But what would happen next time? “Don’t let there be a next time.”
Someone with a law mindset interprets the sin no more phrase as a threat. “Woman, that was your last chance. Sin again and I won’t be so kind next time.” But someone with a grace mindset reads it as a gracious promise. Only grace can empower us to say no to ungodliness and live righteous lives (Tit. 2:12). Just as Jesus told sick people to be well, he empowered sinners to sin no more.
João 8:12

(uma) Life. Two kinds of life are described in the Bible; the psuche– ou vida da alma que herdamos de Adão e do zoé– or spirit life that comes from God (John 5:26). It’s the second kind of life that is described here. See entrada para a Nova Vida.
(b) A Luz da Vida and the Light of the world and the Light of men and the True Light are all names for Jesus (John 1:4, 9, 9:5).

(b) Not judging anyone. Jesus did not come to judge the world (John 3:17), but those in the world will be judged by their response to Jesus. See entrada for John 9:39.
João 8:20
These words He spoke in the treasury, as he taught in the temple; and no one seized Him, because his hour had not yet come.
Taught in the temple. Jesus often taught and preached the gospel in the temple (Matt. 26:55, Luke 20:1). He did this because that’s where people congregated (Luke 21:38) and to fulfill the words of the prophet Malachi: “the Lord, whom you seek, will suddenly come to his temple” (Mal. 3:1).
John 8:21
Then he said again to them, “I go away, and you will seek me, and will die in your sin; where I am going, you cannot come.”
(uma) He said again to them. Jesus is speaking to the crowds and hostile Pharisees (verses12–13) in the Women’s Court in the temple, where the treasury was located (previous verse).
(b) I go away. Jesus is speaking of his death and ascension. “I go to him who sent me” (John 7:33).
(c) You will seek me. The Jews would not be able to find Christ after he returned to his Father (John 7:34).
(d) Will die in your sin. They will die in their sin because they did not believe Jesus was who he said he was; see entrada for John 8:24.
João 8:23

(uma) I am not of this world. On numerous occasions, Jesus told his disciples that he was not from earth but had been sent from heaven. See entrada for John 6:38.
(b) World. In context, the world (cosmos) refers to fallen humanity or the self-serving civilization which is under the influence of Satan and the powers of darkness (1 John 5:19).
John 8:24
“Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for unless you believe that I am he, you will die in your sins.”
(uma) You will die in your sins. Jesus was the propitiation for the sins of the whole world (1 John 2:2). He bore all our sins on the cross (John 1:29). But those who cling to their sins instead of Jesus shall die in their sins. To refuse to believe that Jesus is the Savior or to act as if you must save yourself is tantamount to saying “Christ died in vain.” Faith in Christ leads to eternal life, but the sin of unbelief can kill you.
(b) I am. Jesus is the great and divine “I am” (Ex. 3:14). “Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was born, I am” (John 8:58)
(c) He. The word is in italics to show that it is not in the original text but has been added by translators.
João 8:31
Então Jesus estava dizendo aos judeus que acreditaram nele: “Se vocês permanecerem na minha palavra, serão verdadeiramente meus discípulos;
(uma) Jews who had believed him. There were some who claimed to believe in Jesus but it was just talk. Among these so-called followers were some remain enslaved to sin (John 8:34) and others who were plotting to kill him (John 8:37).
(b) Se você continuar na Minha palavra. To continue in his word is to continue or abide in Christ. It is choosing to rest in his love knowing that he holds us securely in his hand (John 10:28).
(c) Vocês são verdadeiramente Meus discípulos. Um verdadeiro discípulo confia em Jesus do início ao fim.
Everyone who confesses Jesus as the Son of God abides in him (1 John 4:15), but if you are unsure of your position in Christ, you will be anxious and unsettled. You’ll be tempted to pursue dead works in a futile attempt to improve your situation. These are not the actions of a true disciple.
In the New Testament we are exhorted to continue in God’s kindness (Rom. 11:22), continue in the grace of God (Acts 13:43), continue in the teaching of Christ (2 John 1:9), and continue in what we have learned and been convinced of (2 Tim 3:14). In short, we are to continue in the faith (Col. 1:23). As you have received Christ Jesus (by faith), so walk in him (by faith; see Col. 2:6).
João 8:33

Have never yet been enslaved. Jesus was constantly telling people that he was not from earth (see entrada for John 6:38). He was saying, “Since I’m not part of the Matrix I can unplug you from the Matrix.” But sometimes those in the Matrix don’t see their captivity. This was the case with these Jews. Jesus told them, “The truth will make you free,” and they said “but we’re not slaves”. They were blind to their bondage. The same is true of many people today. They have been told they are sinners and that the remedy is to stop sinning. They don’t know they are slaves, dead in sins, in need of Savior.
João 8:35
“O escravo não fica para sempre em casa; o filho permanece para sempre.
O filho permanece para sempre. Your heavenly Father will never cast you out of his family (John 10:29). God will never abandon you (Heb. 13:5), never forget you (Is. 49:15). As an heir of God, your future is secure and blessed (Rom. 8:17, Gal. 4:7).
João 8:40
“But as it is, you are seeking to kill me, a man who has told you the truth, which I heard from God; this Abraham did not do.
Kill me. Jesus could read his opponents like a book. Although the Pharisees and other temple Jews appeared to be inquisitive, their hearts were full of evil intent and murder (John 8:59).
João 8:44
“Você é do diabo, seu pai, e quer realizar os desejos de seu pai. Ele foi um assassino desde o início e não permanece na verdade porque não há verdade nele. Sempre que ele fala uma mentira, ele fala da sua própria natureza, pois ele é um mentiroso e o pai da mentira.
(uma) You are of your father the devil. “You are the offspring of that murderer the devil.”
Who is Jesus speaking to? Verse 31 might give us the impression that he is speaking to believers. But Jesus is in the temple courtyards addressing a wider audience that included Pharisees and others who were openly hostile to him (John 8:13, 20). A believer would not say “who do you think you are?” or accuse Jesus of being demon-possessed (verses 48 and 53). Jesus is talking to angry, murderous people who, in a few minutes, will try to kill him with stones (verse 59).
(b) The devil; see entrada for Matt. 4:1.
(c) No truth. No reality. Jesus is the source and definition of Truth. The devil only offers lies, false promises and illusions.

“Aquele que é de Deus ouve as palavras de Deus; por isso vocês não os ouvem, porque não são de Deus”.
You do not hear them. The things of the Spirit are spiritually discerned (1 Cor. 2:14).
Jesus não está dizendo que os incrédulos não podem ter comunicação com Deus. Se isso fosse verdade, ninguém poderia ser salvo. Ele está dizendo que a verdade surge pela revelação e aqueles que resistem ao Espírito da verdade nunca receberão a verdade que ele deseja lhes dar.
João 8:48
Os judeus responderam e disseram-lhe: “Não dizemos com razão que tu és samaritano e tens demônio?”
samaritano. Os judeus tinham uma animosidade de longa data contra os samaritanos mestiços (ver entrada for John 4:9). Rather than be shamed by this label, Jesus owned it, revealing himself as a good Samaritan in the parable of that name (Luke 10:33).
